Instructor Bios | Steve Marlowe
Stephen D. Marlowe has been practicing law for 30 years. A Florida native, he was born in Jacksonville in 1948 and is a graduate of the University of Florida (B.A., 1970; J.D., 1973). Prior to forming the firm he enjoyed an eleven year association with Carlton Fields, where he was a member of its Construction Law Department. He was also a partner in Moffitt, Hart & Miller, practicing construction, corporate, and commercial law and a member of the legal staff of Jim Walter Corporation serving as Senior Litigation Counsel.
He is a member of the Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Forum Committee on the Construction Industry, the Arbitration Panel for the U. S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the Commercial Panel of Arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association. He is admitted to practice in all Florida State courts and in the U. S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
He has served as Director and Legislative Chairman for Associated Builders and Contractors and has lectured at seminars sponsored by the American Arbitration Association, the National Business Institute and the Contractors Institute among others and has authored continuing education course materials for lawyers and contractors
