Instructor Bios | Patrick Moraites
Patrick is the President of the AXIS Group. Patrick handles the strategic growth planning and budgeting for the team at AXIS Group. Patrick specializes in supporting business development and sales training for the Broker Development Managers (BDMs) with “seeking to understand” as the foundation of learning.
Axis Group is one of the Nation’s largest PEO Master General Agencies (MGA’s) supporting over 2000 property and casualty (P&C) agents across the country and representing more than 100 PEOs. The AXIS Group takes unique marketing approach of educating agents first through it’s State approved CE courses on PEO with the ultimate goal of expanding and creating new market share for the PEO industry a whole.
Patrick began his career in financial services as an account executive for First Franklin Financial, a Merrill Lynch Company. At this top 5 wholesale mortgage lender, Patrick excelled, becoming one of the youngest AE’s to earn the Franklin Club award. The Franklin Club honor is presented to the top 10% of representatives in a field of 600. Later, Patrick took a role as an account executive coach at People’s Choice Home Loans. As a coach, he used his leadership abilities to recruit, train, and develop new account executives; many later surpassed veteran reps to become top producers in the country.
AXIS Group was built on the acronym C-A-T-C-H which stands for Community, Attitude, Team, Communication and Honesty. One of the most important values and guiding principles the AXIS Group takes pride in is Community. Patrick is on the Chairman of the Board of the Children’s Cancer Center a Tampa based non-profit providing emotional, financial and education support to children battling cancer and chronic blood disorders. He is a co-founder and Executive Vice President of Fighter Foundation a local non-profit providing financial support for clinical trials for brain cancer research and quality of life support for cancer patients and families.
He is a co-founder and Honorary Board member of the Charity Polo Classic which is a 501c3 and through it’s one annual event raises over $400k and distributes 100% of the proceeds into Tampa community causes. He is also the former Treasurer and Board member of HR Tampa, an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), an association for human resource professionals in Tampa Bay and the Board of Governors at the Centre Club in Tampa. He also serves as a mentor for first generation college students at the University of South Florida business school helping cultivate and foster growth among students who do not have the same resources as their peers.
The activity that brings him the most joy is the time spent volunteering at the Children’s Cancer Center interacting with the children on Thursday nights in an atmosphere where they can have fun and be kids!
Patrick Moraites earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in both economics and dramatic arts from UNC Chapel Hill, where he also was a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity and Leadership Development Committee.
